Telling the story of the Stephens Mills area







This picture of Ralph Bacon sitting at his desk will give you an understanding of what his great
interests were. I remember him sitting at a great roll top desk in his Brookside cottage when
spending vacation time in Bryant Pond. He would be busy writing his thoughts of Woodstock past
and how it could move ahead in the future. He so loved the town where he grew up and love writing
and telling these stories to anyone willing to listen. In this picture Ralph is in his Boston apartment
and as one can plainly see he was writing. I will always remember Ralph as a gentle, caring man
who loved to come and visit the Bacon homestead.
